Vaultscape FAQ

Q: Is my data secure?
A: Vaultscape access may only be achieved via a VPN Tunnel which provides point-to-point security. Additionally, Vaultscape monitors IP address of all commands to the service and, should an IP address change from the IP address that established the session, the service will immediately terminate and notify Vaultscape security personnel.

Q: What kind of data can be stored?
A: All types of data. Vaultscape does not distinguish between data types; the customer may store raw or encrypted data, images, text, database, all types.

Q: Does Vaultscape compress or deduplicate my data?
A: No. Vaultscape offers the only 100% reliability SLA in the industry. Using compression or deduplication can introduce data loss (particularly true of deduplication); thus the data written to the Vaultscape Vault is stored exactly as sent to the service.

Q: Is my data stored offline?
A: No. All data written to the Vaultscape Vault is available for access immediately. Vaultscape warrants that following a read request the first byte of data will be received in under than one second.

Q: Your service is very inexpensive. Can I trust my data to you?
A: Vaultscape has invested more than 30 man years in the development of this product. Our goal has always been to develop the lowest cost per byte storage in the industry and to do so with a 100% reliability and 100% availability SLA. Vaultscape has achieved its goal by its unique architecture and redundancy and yet done so at the low cost we pass on to our customers.
